SUBJECT: OUTPUT: How the KnowSys knowledgebase will be accessed by its
users
The rate of development of new information processing and retrieval
technologies makes it difficult to predict the exact form that this interface
might ultimately take. We envision an easy to use interface with a pleasant
personality. Like a patient listener it would ask you questions to help
pinpoint the parts of the KnowSys project that might provide answers or
perspectives most suitable to you. If the KnowSys concept continues to develop
it may even evolve into a virtual reality world where you can sit at the
feet of The Buddha or ask questions of a virtual brain researcher! At this
point, the website can be browsed as one would an interactive multi-media
encyclopedia. The main subject index or the
main user menu is a good place to start. Very soon we hope to develop
THE ANSWER MACHINE section into an online searchable database and an expert
system style query routing system based on the KnowSys knowledge-base.
