FORMULAS FOR LIVING
This body of ours didn't come with an instruction manual. Yet through the
ages cultures have developed formulas for living that served them well enough
to survive generation after generation and have in many cases become enshrined
in such works as the Bible, the Torah, the Koran, the Vedas, and the teachings
of many other of the world's great religious traditions. In addition to
the religious texts many philosophical systems have been passed from generation
to generation by oral tradition, and many new ones are being developed.
This forum is intended to provide an overview of the key insights embodied
in these many traditions. We are hoping that the process of cybergenesis
will allow KnowSys to distill this wisdom to its essence, and to make it
accessable to those who do not speak the language of each particular cultural
variant. We invite you to participate in this process by suggesting additional
"formulas for living" systems, and contributing your understanding
of some of these teachings. An ongoing discussion that attempts to distill
the "truths" that emerge over and over again and easy to follow
representations of the various approaches that have withstood the test of
time. Includes links to many sites dedicated to particular perspectives.
